Haiku by ayaz daryl nielsen

late autumn evening
weeding the Zen garden
my shame revealed

first light of dawn
sparrows chanting
above new snow

evening rain
the widowed neighbor
shares her umbrella

ninth-story patio
cat howling important things
another cat answers
