Haiku by Ali Znaidi

                 little waves
[s]lapping the side of the boat

shadows on the wall

***

a night party—

worms were feasting

on a rotten beetroot

***

                 atop

     the mulberry leaves

silkworms were weaving

        dreams on looms

***

the noun dream

a few bare letters

succumbing to fresh water
